About this event

While this session targets Allied Health professionals it does not have a focus on discipline-specific supervision and intra-discipline skill development as outlined in the Allied Health Clinical Supervision framework. Rather, this training provides attendees with basic skills regarding both the components and holding of a supportive, reflective learning space. It allows them to leave the session ready to provide supervision.

Note: this training is not intended for the Lived Experience Workforce.

Please note, if you do register for this event and it is not clear you are part of the intended audience, your registration will be confirmed two weeks prior to the event start date, or earlier.

This one-day Intermediate-level training is meant for people with 1+ years' experience providing supervision. It covers a more in-depth look at what supervision is, ethics and supervisor and supervisee development. It is meant to build on introductory-level training and real-life experience and does not provide the background an unpracticed clinicians might need (we would suggest the Beginner session + experience prior to this course).

This training day includes further exploration of ethics in Supervision, providing feedback, Hawkins and Shohet’s 7-eyed model of supervision, and the basics of group supervision.
